I’ve had the idea of boudoir photo shoot on my bucket list for years. Not only to give my husband this gift, but also to document my body for posterity.   After almost 15 years of marriage where my spouse did not appreciate or celebrate my femininity, I felt less than sexy, dull and uninteresting.

  I decided that even though I was approaching 65, it just wasn’t worth it to spend the rest of my life in that situation, I needed to get out and get in touch with myself and re-embrace my womanhood. I did not care if I spent the rest of my life alone, I was going to live my life again.

  I found Chateau La Femme Photography and decided to treat myself to their boudoir and romantic portraiture sessions. Even though I was hesitant and unsure of myself, I immediately felt comfortable with Shari and Linda. They went out of their way to make me feel pampered. It turned out to be so much fun and I love how my photos turned out!!! I feel that I am still attractive and sexy!! It was a big boost to my feminine ego.

  I suppose we’re always our own worst critics and the idea of posing for boudoir photos was a little bit scary to me. (especially at my age ;)… But I was way more intrigued than scared and I’m so glad I said ‘yes’. I’ve never been very comfortable in front of a camera and as I’ve gotten older…well… I’ve got that much more to be concerned about (if you know what I mean ;).

  That all went out the window the moment I stepped into the beautiful Chateau where Shari and Linda welcomed me. They made me feel so safe and comfortable and beautiful! And they definitely brought out the playful Athena in me that was just waiting to be seen. By the end of the session I didn’t want it to end…I truly had a ball…it was like hanging out with your best girlfriends playing dress up in the most classy, elegant but suggestive way. And it was pure F U N!!
